THE ENEMY HAS BEEN DEFEATED

So many times throughout the Scriptures, and especially in worship music, it is mentioned that, "THE ENEMY HAS BEEN DEFEATED!" But has he?

We deal daily with battling temptations of the snake, yet supposedly he has been defeated?

Well he has. Jesus Christ defeated the enemy when He was crucified for our sins and then rose again on the third day. He went to battle for us and we are going to battle for Him.

In our belief in Christ, Satan is dead to us. While we still face the temptation daily, we fight the devil off with our trust, hope, and faith that Jesus Christ is on our side. Satan is constantly seeking us out, but we must put on the whole armor of God, and declare firmly,

"Satan hear me clearly:
My Father is Maker of heaven and earth.
You are under my feet,
because today and the rest of my days,
I'M BELIEVING GOD!"
(Beth Moore, Believing God, Commission of Faith.)
